A lullaby is a song mothers and nurses sing to babies and small children to make them sleep faster. A lullaby is a rhyming song intended to calm children and induce a good-night sleep. Lullabys are common all around the world, but each country has its own lullabies.
Some English known lullabies are “Tell me a story”, “All the pretty horses”, “Sleep, baby, sleep”, and “Blow the wind, blow” (a Scottish lullaby). |
